Cave Demo
Update 1.9: Press K to escape the oppressive weight of enduring existence.
This is more of a technical demo than a game. There are a non-zero amount of gamepleigh elements though!
This is my first published project and I learned a ton while making it, such as:
- Art is really, really hard and time consuming
- Level design is really really hard, but not quite as time consuming
- A state machine for a player character would have been a nice thing to know about at the beginning of the project
- I don't really know how to make ambient music. Oops, all bangers.
- Godot specific:
- AudioStreamPlayer(s) are pretty flexible once you get to know them
- Tweens are pretty flexible once you get to know them

i like it - could use a gem counter on the screen though so you know theres more hidden !
Thanks for the feedback! I think that is a great idea, I'll definitely include that whenever I circle back to this project.
